Burley Green Sox (Boys Traveling Baseball)

The Green Sox are Oregon Trail Rec District's boys traveling baseball teams. Each year we try to have a 9U, 10U, 11U, and 12U team.
Divisions are based on the player's birthdate as of May 1st.
Tryouts each year are around the End of February and early March each year. Check our Facebook Page and website for updates.
Tournaments are played from May through early July most years.
Average cost is around $400 to $500 per player. We do fundraisers and sponsors to help players pay for their costs.
This is a big commitment for the players and parents. They practice around 3 times per week starting after tryouts and they will travel to 5 to 6 tournaments throughout the summer. Tournaments are played mostly all day Fridays and Saturdays with some tournaments playing Thursday-Saturdays.
